Karen Partington
Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist – Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.

After graduating from Glasgow University, Karen completed the MRCS and surgical training on the West of Scotland Surgical Programme, and then general radiology training and the FRCR on the Leeds Radiology Training Scheme. She completed a post CCST Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship at the Oxford Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre before being appointed to a consultant post in Oxford in early 2014.
Karen has an active role in teaching and training in radiology and orthopaedics, and is the former Head of School for Thames Valley radiology. She is the chair of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) Curriculum and appointed member of the RCR specialty training board and RCR anatomy examination committee. She is the Oxford lead radiologist for the Adult bone dysplasia MDT, Regional Myeloma service and one of the four core Oxford Bone tumour/Sarcoma MDT radiologists.
Karen has authored several Musculoskeletal Radiology book chapters, and presented at several national and international radiological and orthopaedic conferences. She teaches on national courses such as the Aintree Bones & Joints and FRCR courses and the FRCS MRC Oxford Miller Review Course.

M. Ather Siddiqi
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Ather Siddiqi has studied in Singapore, the USA and the UK, with Fellowships in Germany, Russia and South Korea, completed a Fellowship in Complex Pelvic Reconstruction and Sarcoma Surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in 2022.
Ather has research interests in 3D printing and modelling in guided surgery and virtual/augmented reality in guided pelvic tumour surgery.
He won a Travelling Fellowship from the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society (BOOS) in 2020, and gained BOOS sponsorship to the British Orthopaedic Association Future Leaders Programme.
He also teaches widely including core faculty on the MRC Oxford Miller Review Course. 

Nev Davies

Nev Davies is a highly respected Trauma and Orthopaedic (T&O) Consultant based in Reading, Berkshire, with specialist expertise in paediatric orthopaedics and adult knee surgery. His clinical interests encompass the full spectrum of bone and joint conditions in children, including acute injuries, as well as complex knee problems in adults.

Nev qualified as a doctor in 2000 from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London, following six years of medical training and an intercalated BSc in Neuroscience. He completed his house officer posts at St Mary’s Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital before undertaking a three-year basic surgical training rotation in and around London. During this period, he gained extensive experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Kingston Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.

He subsequently spent six years on the Oxford Specialist Registrar Rotation in Trauma and Orthopaedics, which included a dedicated paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia. On returning to the UK, Nev was appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2010.

Max Mifsud MD MScRes FRCS(Tr&Orth) FEBOT is a Consultant Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. His practice serves Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and international patients. He is fully certified and on the specialist registers of the UK (GMC) and EU medical councils.

Max is internationally fellowship trained in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Bone Infection (Oxford), Sarcoma and Joint Reconstruction (London), Hip Preservation (Bern), and clinical research (Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto). He holds a postgraduate research degree (MScRes/MPhil) completed alongside full-time clinical work. His academic output includes over 22 peer-reviewed publications, 2 book chapters, and 40+ national and international presentations, with multiple prize-winning contributions. He is actively involved in NIHR-funded research and is the Oxford Principal Investigator for PICBone..

Tom Cosker

Tom Cosker, MB BCh, MSc, FRCS (Tr & Orth), FAS, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, and an internationally respected educator in surgical anatomy and orthopaedics. He is Associate Professor and Director of Surgical Anatomy at the University of Oxford, a College Assessor for the Royal College of Surgeons, and an anatomy tutor at Balliol College. He is also a co-founder of MRC Oxford, reflecting his commitment to innovation and high-quality surgical education. Alongside his clinical practice, which spans oncology, arthroplasty, trauma, and complex reconstruction, he directs and teaches on multiple national and international training programmes. His depth of anatomical expertise and passion for teaching make him a key faculty member for the Diploma in Knee Surgery.

Co-Course Director Mr Guido Geutjens

Mr Guido Geutjens is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Royal Derby Hospital and Derby Nuffield Hospital. A Specialist Knee and Sports Injury Surgeon, he has 20 years of experience in all aspects of knee surgery.

Mr Geutjens’ extensive knowledge and surgical skills means he is invited to lecture all over the world. Based in Derby, he is the Consulting Orthopaedic Consultant to a number of professional sports teams and has operated on international footballers, commonwealth medalists, Olympic athletes and world champions.

Mr Geutjens has performed over 7,000 arthroscopies and 3000 anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions throughout his career. He also has considerable experience in knee replacements and osteotomy procedures around the knee. His specialist areas of interest include cartilage meniscus tears and transplants and arthritis in the young. Mr Geutjens is also known for his work with the repair of rare and difficult muscle injuries of the leg. Mr Geutjens has both an NHS and a private practice in Derby.
